On January 26, it was announced that Catawba County Public Health (CCPH) was investigating reports of illness linked to Harbor Inn Seafood Restaurant in Conover, North Carolina. The majority of the complaints were from people who ate at the restaurant during the weekend of January 13. Illness began within 12 to 24 hours after dining. Symptoms included nausea, diarrhea and vomiting and typically lasted from 24 to 36 hours. No food handling violations were found.
