2008 Outbreak of Vibrio parahaemoloyticus at a Restaurant, Maryland Restaurant Delaware Bay Oysters 2008
New Jersey oysters that were served at a Maryland restaurant were implicated in an outbreak of Vibrio parahaemolyticus. The outbreak resulted in the closure of oyster beds. The oysters were traced to the Ship John and Shellrock oyster beds in the upper Delaware Bay.
