Campers at a Michigan camp became ill with Norovirus during the month of April. Between April 16 and 20, 50 people became ill. There was an interesting epidemic curve for this outbreak as it appears that an initial foodborne outbreak spread via contact with objects. During the outbreak time period four schools stayed at the camp with members of all four coming down with gastroenteritis. The health department investigators were able to determine that staying in one of the cabins was a significant risk factor for becoming ill, but found little association between foods and illness.
