2007 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 at a Day Care, Minnesota
An outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 occurred at a home daycare in Ramsey County, Minnesota. Eight of the nine children in the daycare ultimately tested positive for E. coli O157. One child had been ill before the others and had returned to the day care before the infection had cleared. Person-to-person transmission of the infection resulted.
