2008 Multistate Outbreak of Metal Poisoning Linked to Supplements
Dietary supplements that contained toxic levels of selenium and chromium caused at least 180 illnesses in several states. The products, Total Body Formula and Total Body Mega Formula, were sold over the internet and through health food stores. They were recalled by the FDA.
