Murdick’s Famous Fudge of Charlevoix issued a voluntary recall of caramels and taffy because they may have been handled by ill store employees. The recall involved products from the Bridge Street location only. The recall was initiated after the local health department's investigation into an outbreak of Norovirus suggested that the illnesses were associated with eating the caramels produced at this location. Some of the employees had exhibited symptoms typically attributed to Norovirus infection.
