A confirmed case of E. coli O157:H7 led to a recall of a finely ground raw beef that was sold for Kebbeh. Kebbeh are croquettes stuffed with chopped meat and bulgar rice. The chopped beef product was sold by the New Middleast Market in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The meat was served from the fresh meat counter in plastic bags wrapped with paper. The meat was recalled by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the New Middleast Supermarket.
