An outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium occurred at the Normative Services residential treatment facility in Sheridan, Wyoming. Students, staff, and staff family members of the facility became ill. Statistical analysis showed that milk consumption at the facility’s brunch was associated with illness. Early Salmonella cases stemmed from milk consumption, but subsequent cases likely resulted from poor hygiene at the facility. It was not stated whether the milk was pasteurized or unpasteurized.
