2011 Outbreak of Norovirus Among Passengers Onboard Holland America Lines MV Maasdam
The CDC's Vessel Sanitation Program reported an outbreak of norovirus among passengers onboard the Holland America Line MV Maasdam in late December 2011. In total 56 of the 1,255 passengers and 6 of the 573 crew members reported symptoms of vomiting and/or diarrhea.
