2012 Outbreak of Norovirus Among Passengers Onboard Princess Cruises MV Crown Princess
The CDC Vessel Sanitation Program Reported an outbreak of norovirus among passengers onboard the Princess Cruises MV Crown Princess late January 2012. In total 364* of 3,103 passengers and 32 of the 1,168 members of the crew reported symptoms of vomiting and/or diarrhea.
*There was an unknown, but significant number of passenger cases who reported their illness by phone to the medical facility onboard, but were not seen in a timely matter and disembarked the ship.*
