Ottawa County (Michigan) Department of Public Health investigated an outbreak of norovirus among customers of the Wild Chef Japanese Steak House located in Holland Township, Michigan. The health department advised Wild Chef customers who dined at the restaurant between March 27 and April 1 to complete an online questionnaire to help with the investigation. In total 294 customers reported illness. No one was hospitalized and no one died. The restaurant closed on April 1 and reopened on April 7 after disinfecting all equipment and surfaces, providing training on food preparation practices, hand washing, glove use.
