1999 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Linked to Unpasteurized Apple Cider, Oklahoma
An outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 occurred in northeast Oklahoma in the fall of 1999. Illness was associated with drinking a specific brand of unpasteurized apple cider. Cultures of the cider and the production site were all negative for E. coli O157:H7.
