2008 Outbreak of Shigellosis at the Oregon Country Fair, Oregon

At least eight people who attended the Oregon Country Fair in July, 2008, developed Shigella. The specific cause of outbreak was not given. Shigella can become a foodborne disease when human feces contaminates food directly or when fecally contaminated hands handle food for others.
