2011 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Infections at a Mud Party, Louisiana

An outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 occurred among attendees of a party held at a farm for students of the Ouachita Christian School. Children who played in the farm's mud pit for more than five minutes were more likely to become ill. The Louisiana state laboratory was unable to perform environmental testing.
