2013 Outbreak of Campylobacter Infections at the Burger and Beer Bash in Westchester County, New York
In June 2013 Westchester County Health Department announced an outbreak of Campylobacter among attendees of an outdoor food festival at the Kensico Dam in Valhala, NY. The festival, Burger and Beer Bash, was held on June 6, 2013. Because most attendees ate food from many of the 30 food vendors, public health investigators theorized that it would not be possible to identify the specific source of the outbreak.
