An outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 infections was associated with animal contact at the Ozaukee County Fair. Environmental sampling of the fairgrounds property and water testing failed to confirm the presence of E. coli O157:H7. The outbreak was attributed to contact with animals at the petting zoo.
