2012 Outbreak of Norovirus at Princeton and Rider Universities Linked to Panera Bread, New Jersey
At least 160 persons became ill during an outbreak of Norovirus on the campuses of Princeton and Rider Universities that began in late January. As many as 150 Princeton University students were exposed to the virus at Panera Bread on Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey. The Nassau Street Panera Bread was frequented by many Princeton University and Rider University students. Rider’s Westminster Choir College campus is in Princeton. There were 261 confirmed cases of norovirus at Princeton University through Feb. 23, 2012, and 250 at Rider University as of March 6.
