2007 Outbreak of Hepatitis A Linked to Puerto Peñasco Raw Oysters, Arizona
In May, the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) was notified of a cluster of Hepatitis A cases in Maricopa, Yuma and Pima counties. All of the cases reported eating raw oysters in Puerto Peñasco, or Rocky Point, Mexico between March 8 and March 25 leading to a ADHS warning against consumption of raw oysters from this region.
