2004 Outbreak of E. coli O157:H7 Infections at Applebee's Linked to Beef, Colorado
Four laboratory confirmed cases of E. coli O157:H7 were linked to the consumption of beef eaten at an Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar in Colorado. Investigators determined the beef was produced in June by Quantum Foods, an Illinois meat processor. The implicated products were sirloin steak, bladed steaks, and ground beef. It was shipped nationwide.
