1998 Outbreak of Salmonella I 4, [5] 12:i:- Infections at a Dinner Reception, New York
An outbreak of Salmonella serotype I 4,5,12:i:- infections occurred among persons who attended a dinner reception in Queens, New York City. Although this strain of Salmonella had been isolated from individuals prior this outbreak, this was the first documented food outbreak of this strain in New York City. Illness was more severe than in usual outbreaks of Salmonella.
