Channel 9 News reports that 25 people who ate meals on the University of Tennessee Chattanooga campus have complained of foodborne illness. A spokesperson for the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department said that victims have reported illness symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. The health department identified lab-confirmed cases of Salmonella Enteritidis and Campylobacter. Inspections at the University's food establishments and review of their food handling practices were conducted. The unannounced inspections at the university revealed no specific problems or mishandling of food.
