2014 Outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis Infections Linked to El Patron Restaurant, Alabama
On June 12, 2014 the Alabama Department of Public Health announced an investigation of an outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections among patrons of El Patron Restaurant located on US Highway 43 in Russellville, Alabama. Ill patrons ate at the restaurant on June 4 and June 5. In total 53 outbreak associated cases were identified. Fourteen cases were hospitalized. There were no deaths.
