2011 Outbreak of STEC Linked to Contaminated Water at Campgrounds, Utah
An outbreak of E.. coli O157:H7 and E. coli O121 was associated with contaminated water supplies at the Shawnee and Ben Lomond campgrounds in North Fork Canyon, Weber County, Utah. The bacteria sickened at least 56 campers at the Shawnee Campground between August 2nd and 5th. Two people were hospitalized. No one died.
