An outbreak of Salmonella Enteritidis infections occurred among campers at the Stone Environmental Camp in Madison, New Hampshire. Pudding was the vehicle of infection and was made with eggs. The outbreak strain of Salmonella was recovered from the immersion blender that had been used to make the pudding and from the pudding. The blender had been used to mix raw eggs. The food served at the camp had been prepared by Purity Spring Resort. Most of the ill were students and staff from Woodbury Middle School in Salem, New Hampshire.
