An outbreak of Campylobacter jejuni occurred at a summer camp in Wisconsin. No bacterial contamination was evident in camp water samples. Raw milk was not served at the camp. Epidemiologically the tuna salad that was served for lunch on July 19 was statistically associated with illness. Several deficiencies in camp kitchen operation were identified so cross contamination appeared to be a plausible explanation for how the tuna salad became contaminated.
