2009 Outbreak of Norovirus at a Superbowl Party, Alaska
People who attended a Superbowl party on February 1 developed symptoms of illness consistent with Norovirus infection. The illnesses were attributed to oysters that had been grown at a single oyster farm in Sitka Channel, Alaska. Oysters from the farm were tested and were shown to be contaminated with Norovirus.
