2011 Outbreak of Salmonella Montevideo Infections at a Federal Prison, Pennsylvania

An outbreak of salmonellosis was associated with eating chicken fajitas, on June 25, at the USA Penitentiary-Canaan in Waymart, Pennsylvania. At least 320 inmates and 4 staff were infected. A fajita consists of grilled meat served on a flour of corn tortilla.
