Three Washington State residents of the Puget Sound were stricken with mycotoxin mushroom poisoning. Weather patterns led to an increase in the number of mushrooms which increased the opportunity for people to eat poisonous mushrooms. One of the cases was a two-year-old who ate one bite of a mushroom from the ground. All of the cases survived in spite of there being no antidote for this type of toxin.
