2011 Outbreak of Vibrio parahaemolyticus Linked to Raw Oysters, Washington
At least 22 people became ill after eating raw oysters containing Vibrio parahaemolyticus bacteria. The oysters had been harvested from commercial operations (18 people) and recreational oyster beds (4 people) in Puget Sound and on the Washington coast.
