A confirmed outbreak of Clostridium perfringens occurred among people who had eaten roast beef served during a banquet. The banquet was held at the the West Geauga High School for the football team. Prime rib beef and potatoes were provided by a local restaurant. Restaurant customers who had eaten the same items at the restaurant did not become ill. Poor temperature holding of the beef was suspected.
